Raghav Released New Single in Canada & Featured on New Bollywood Track
Posted: 2012-10-30 00:00:00
Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
Raghav sees this new single as his opportunity to demonstrate his vocal ability to his North American fanbase, who may have only heard his previous club-inspired singles like Fire and Top Of The World. Originally earmarked as the first single for the comeback album from Raghav’s musical hero Michael Jackson, Love is an important song for Raghav and is destined to be a hit.
There has also been much talk about Raghav’s involvement in a project with prolific film composer A.R. Rahman. The opportunity has been a dream come true for Raghav, who says, “Of all the glorious moments in my musical journey working with A.R. Rahman ranks at the top.”
The project is a song called Ishq Shava for Bollywood film Jab Tak Hai Jaan directed by the late Yash Chopra and written and produced by Aditya Chopra under their production banner Yash Raj Films. The background score and soundtrack for the film were composed by A.R. Rahman. ‘Ishq Shava’ is a duet sung by Raghav and Indian playback singer Shilpa Rao and was released on October 26, 2012. In just a handful of days, the track has already received over 1.5 million hits on YouTube!
Director Yash Chopra, known as India’s king of celluloid romance, died unexpectedly on October 21, 2012, just weeks after announcing he would not direct any more movies. He was 80. Bollywood continues to mourn the loss of a master filmmaker.
Jab Tak Hai Jaan is scheduled for release on November 13, 2012.
